so... what is "THE Personal Codex"?

How the Codex came to be...

Before I begin, I want to explain that this isn't something layered in 'woo woo' or something that I just dreamt up one day after a few tequilas.. Learning and integrating this has been apart of my daily life, being tested repeatedly - for over (cough) 28 years!. I hear you asking... "then why are you offering it now??" and the short answer is - The longer I pretend this isn't literally written in every single part of my own codex, the longer the universe, god, spirit, a higher power (however you would like to name it) is going to continue to kick my butt, until I surrender and take my hands off the (metaphorical) wheel.

The internal search of wanting to look into this mysterious layers of life started when I was 7, after my father passed away. I knew from going to church (traditional Serbian Orthodox) that you had a spirit and thankfully my family didn't hide anything from me, if I had questions about god, death, ghosts, heaven and anything else a 7 years old could think of - they had answers. And also opened me up to the wonderful world of the esoteric. 

As soon as I was old enough to get a library card I devoured everything I could - Astrology, Numerology, Palmistry, Psychics, Mediums, Tarot & Oracle... you name it, I wanted it. Over the years I have added in different Elements to my repertoire to simply understand myself better and if I'm being honest - it was also to try and prove it wrong. Yet try as I might, they all kept giving me the same answers but also built on each other at the same time for even greater clarity and depth. 

It wasn’t until I hit rock bottom - hospitalised after a mental breakdown triggered by a toxic, narcissistic relationship - that I found myself wondering:
How did I get here? How did i loose myself?
How was I more free at 7 than I am as a grown woman?

What started out as a way to distract my mind from the debilitating cycles of self doubt, depression and anxiety -  I embarked on a journey that would ultimately change my life. I started the 'obsession' with learning about myself.

I started by listening to all the greats in self help and personal development. They all said the same thing: “...you must help yourself first.” “...you must love yourself first.” and I kept having this question come up - "How am I supposed to love yourself when I don’t even know who I am? I was barely getting through the day, let alone “loving myself.” 

Being analytical i need to start at the beginning to understand how it works. If I need to love myself to heal, then I had better find out who I am before i even begin loving myself. The answer was so simple, yet there was no manual or step by step guide to tell me how to actually do that. There was a lot of - meditate, spend time in nature, do other things you love etc. but nothing that went back to the root cause of every knowing what was real and what was a mask i had adapted over time.

First cab off the ranks (uber for the younger readers) was Astrology, as this was an old favorite from when i was younger. It was fascinating at how much of myself that I had been told i was - too sensitive, too stubborn, too loving, too closed off. All of the things that others had put me down about and made me believe that i was broken because of - was in fact who i was. Imagine for a second to finally understand that you hold the incredible gift of loving unapologetically and being all in, and also having the gift of being able to close off in a heart beat once you have been hurt by the same person who took your love for granted? Incase you are wondering... LIBERATING!! Every little piece of my personality that i had either tried to hide, suppress or even ignore was staring me right in the face begging to be seen and embraced. Then I started testing all of these new found things about myself and being the devils advocate in the wonderful realm of "what if's" - what if this is who i am? what if i actually start being me? what would happen? what have i honestly got to loose? I'm already down as far as i can go, what if i give it a chance and i actually do find myself?

As time went on, I added more to the research - Numerology, Human Design, Gene Keys, Myers Briggs etc. and with each modality i learnt more and more about myself. How my body responded when I was living in alignment, how it responded when I wasn't, how I manifest and how I repel, how to find the right partner, how to release those that drain me, how to be authentic, how to remove the masks that i had adopted from being conditioned. With each step of understanding i was able to finally understand what they were all talking about - I finally knew how to love myself! 

Now i'm not going to tell you that i am Yoda, Guru, all heavenly enlightened being that doesn't get the sh*ts, feel sad or have moments of self doubt - i am human. But what i will tell you, is that through the course of learning about how i get triggered (in the good and not so good) I come back to my Codex each and every time, to realign, reset and return back to myself. 

**Disclaimer** I am not a person who believes in predictive Astrology, i do believe in the incredible teachings that have been around since Astrology has been put into written language about the way the planets at the time of our birth give us a road map to the stars of our origins. 

Through the journey of learning about myself, I could not ignore the overwhelming evidence that kept saying - you are better suited to roles in helping others. I had always loved helping people (even to my own detriment) and still maintained my corporate career. So in the spirit of "what if" I decided to study and become a hypnotherapist, then therapist and because I still wasn't satisfied and wanted to know more, I went on to learn psychology. (You may have noticed I do not practice as a Therapist or Psychologist and The Personal Codex plays a massive part in the reason why.)

Piece by piece over the last 18 years practicing through trial and error on my family and friends + 10 years of being an Intuitive Therapist , I built a road map, the blueprint and Codex to learn who each person was at a soul level. And the more they knew about themselves the easier their life became. And for my clients... I was handed THE manual on how they worked without the societal programming. Think of your presenting problem of coming to therapy with me are feelings of inadequacy. I look at your chart and you have the exact placements that show "hey you are going to have a really crappy time and you will feel this way because of XYZ". Then once I explain this to you, I then go through the very things to help you get through this exact thing. And that's where the science comes in with Neuroplasticity to reprogram your mind back to its default setting. No smoke and mirrors, no pretending - Just raw data, facts and a solution... Science Baby!
